On a right leg, the posterior tibial artery is medial and the fibular/peroneal artery is lateral. The anterior tibial artery is more lateral. They all branch from the popliteal artery from behind the knee.

Leg dissection

On a right leg, the posterior tibial artery is medial and the fibular/peroneal artery is lateral. The anterior tibial artery is more lateral. They all branch from the popliteal artery from behind the knee.
